  The Formation of Jackson County
A court for the said county of Jackson, shall be held by the justices thereof, on the fourth Monday in every month, after the same shall have been organized, in like manner as is provided by law for other counties, and shall be by their commissions directed.
In future, the elections of a senator and elector, and a representative in congress in the said county of Jackson, shall be of the same district as the county of Mason.
The courts of quarterly sessions for the said county of Jackson, shall be holden in the months of March, June, August and November, in every year; and the said county of Jackson shall belong to the same chancery district, for which a court is by law directed to be holden at Clarksburg.

 Grants to Clallam, Clark and Mason counties aim to improve water quality   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-15)
OLYMPIA - The state Department of Ecology (Ecology) has awarded grants to Southwest Washington conservation districts in Clark, Clallam and Mason counties to boost local projects to improve water quality.
The project also aims to determine ways to reduce flooding of the area and strategies to restore stream and estuarine habitat.
Mason Conservation District in Shelton received $115,500 to develop an agricultural-based incentive program to reduce discharges of nitrogen into the Hood Canal.
