Many models have historical significance, such as large-scaled models of the USS Iowa battleship, the space shuttle Challenger, the Wright Brothers' Flyer, and the United States Capitol, which measures 12 feet long.
Matchstick Marvels Tourist Center was built with the efforts and generosity of the people of Gladbrook, and is operated strictly through the tireless efforts of the volunteers that staff the exhibit.

Modellers of all description attended the show, model boats, cars, trucks, aeroplanes, railway layouts, dolls houses, matchstick models, steam lorries, traction engines, steam car, hover craft, a working model jet engine, military figures and military models and many more exhibitors, approximately 30 exhibitors in all attended.

Clever, snappy, and inconsequential, it's essentially a two-character sketch, and one that never strains for a laugh (Lhermitte's subtle air of bemused fatalism toward the end of the film is funny in itself).

I started making matchstick models when I was the Local assistant at Point of Ayre,in many ways an ideal hobby as you glue relatively small sections before finally assembling the whole model.
The first model that I built,so I followed the plans and instructions,later models incorperated some of my own ideas
June 2006 I bought the kit for the Rocker Horse,since that turned out quite well I used my own design to build the horse to go with the Hansom Cab.
