Matthew Hilton - Biocrawler   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-12)
Matthew Hilton (born December 17, 1965) was a Canadian fighter from Montreal, Quebec and one of the three brothers from the Fighting Hilton Family.
This time, though, Hilton was the loser not by decision by rather by 11th-round TKO when the referee had seen enough.
His career began to sputter during the 1990s, and, partly (and, for that matter, sadly) due to the various troubles plaguing the Hilton family (mainly due to trouble with the law for sex-related offenses), Hilton never was really able to regain his championship-level caliber.

 Matthew Hilton - Boxing Forum
Matthew was a very exciting fighter.I will never forget his great fights with Benitez and Drayton, which I saw on tv!Alas,as has been mentioned he self destructed.A shame really as he had tremendous potential.
Matthew hit his highest point defeating the well-travelled and tough Buster Drayton for the IBF Junior Middleweight title over 15 grueling rounds, in Montreal, back in June of '87.
Matthew is still somewhat respected in Quebec and remembered by boxing fans but sadly for him the antics of his brothers and the problems they had with the law, (espacially Davey) took most part of the media attention towards the Hilton family so Matthew as become quite unkown these days in Canada.

 Consumerism in Twentieth-Century Britain eBooks
Matthew Hilton offers a groundbreaking account of consumer movements, ideologies and organisations in twentieth-century Britain.
He argues that in organisations such as the Co-operative movement and the Consumers' Association individual concern with what and how we spend our wages led to forms of political engagement too often overlooked in existing accounts of twentieth-century history.
Finally he recovers the visions of countless consumer activists who saw in consumption a genuine force for liberation for women, the working class and new social movements as well as a set of ideas often deliberately excluded from more established political organisations.
