Indeed, Hutton and Modine were the Edward Furlong and Tobey Maguire of their day -- sort of cute, and taking artistic risks in their choice of role.
Hutton had a short run in the early 90s in forgettable thrillers like The Dark Half and The Temp, and Modine lined up to play the milquetoast role in Short Cuts and Bye Bye, Love; perhaps seeking to deviate from his established type, he appeared in the 90s answer to Heaven's Gate, Cutthroat Island.
Hutton appears this summer in The General's Daughter, presumably having elected to try his hand in a big-budget shlockfest.

SDLT: Transfers of Partnership Shares - dCode (Tax and Law for Business)   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-04)
Matthew Hutton of the Capital Tax Review looks at transfers of partnership interests for Stamp Duty Land Tax purposes with the help of Barrister, Patrick Cannon.
Once consideration is identified, it is disregarded and the SDLT charge is based on the percentage increase in partnership share applied to the market value of the land in the partnership, applying income and not capital-sharing ratios.
The obvious difficulty of course is that, if one relies on the Cannon interpretation, it may be to one’s detriment, when the Revenue view is all too clear – and may simply result in an amendment of the law ‘to what it was always understood to be’.
