Primus, who has missed nine games this year with combined knee and hamstring problems, pulled up lame after lunging for a bouncing ball early in the final quarter of Port Adelaide's dramatic four-point win.
He conceded that Primus would struggle to play again in the home-and-away season but expected him to do everything possible to be ready for the launch of the club's final series next month.

The future of Port Adelaide skipper Matthew Primus remains uncertain with the Power immediately quashing reports on Thursday that Primus would definitely be with the club next year as he seeks to make a comeback from his third knee re-construction.
