	Eleven people killed in road crash
		The family and friends were travelling back to Matuu from Kambu, Makueni District, where they had visited their in-laws for a dowry negotiations ceremony.
		The would-be bride, Miss Jackline Kiamba, suffered serious injuries and spoke with difficulties but her spouse, Mr Joseph Kiamba, emerged with a few scratches and was treated and discharged.
		They left Kambu for Matuu at dusk, and were joined by his spouse, her two sisters, mother and cousin who wanted to escort them to Machakos where they would have spent the night at a relative’s place.

		The Chief Justice gave opportunity to Matuu’s lawyer Assistant public defender Drew stave to advise his client that anything she said could be used against her.
		He then decided to continue Matu’u’s case until this morning and told her attorney that he needed a convincing answer from the defendant or her case will proceed to trial.
		Under the plea agreement for Matu’u she would pled guilty to three of the 15 counts of forgery and stealing while the rest would be dropped.

		Mr Obedi Nthiwa, chairman of the giant Kwa Matingi Cooperative Society and Wendano Matuu Coffee Farmers Company, said farmers were happy that transport costs would be cut.
		Briefing the Press in Kangundo Town in the company of farmers' representatives and local KPCU director Moses Muasya, Mr Nthiwa praised the union for its continued financial assistance to local coffee societies and firms.
		He said Wendano Matuu would soon be convening an annual general meeting.
