Max Abraham (March 26, 1875 – November 16, 1922) was a German physicist.
Abraham was born in Danzig, Germany (now Gdańsk in Poland) to a family of Jewish merchants.
Abraham developed his theory of the electron in 1902, in which he hypothesized that the electron was a perfect sphere with a charge divided evenly around its surface.

The two existing equations were first suggested by Max Abraham and Hermann Minkowski - from which the controversy name derives.
Abraham's equation suggests that materials through which light travels more slowly, electromagnetic fields should have lower momentum - Minkowski suggests it should have a greater momentum.

Professor Max is survived by his daughter, Rachel Max, Rehovot, Israel; his sons David, Plantation, Florida, and Arthur, presently living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands; and five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
This resolution was prepared in a cooperative effort of friends of Professor Max, Ted Cutshall, Amir Naghdi, Marvin Needler, John O’Loughlin, and Charles Yokomoto.

Hi, waiting to receive my copy of max 8 I downloaded the trial to see what I will soon have and I have a BIG problem (cry).
I would suggest going to the autodesk max forum and post this as a bug.
I have this same problem and it makes max totally unusable for me. I set my grid to 8 units with 8 sub-divisions.
