Its funny but they really push some of those ecopack singles when others eventually go out of print...the Bliss, 1000 Ocean, and Spark two tracker singles are pratically gone....you can only get the maxis...but the cruel one and rerelease of SATY etc are still around cause there is no maxi to accompany them....
Jackie's Strength got weird promotion....the two singles were released so far apart....I was given the indication lately that the remix single may have been postponed because of something....and I do recall Merman getting kicked off...that was whacked.....I remember always going back to the record shops to see if any maxi's of that were released.....
I can just picture singles not even allowing one b-side in the future...Jewel's last US single only consisted of the A-side and that was it....Something like that is not worth to buy...you couldn't even sell it afterwards cause it was cheap to begin with....

After a first single "Brilliant" which was released on Intrapop, we now get "Shiver" (with vocalist Krystyna Eller), an EP holding 10 remixes of the title track plus two other tracks.
The remix by Assemblage 23 for instance is a guaranteed floor-filler, but the best is yet to come with Echo Image who from their part offer a mix that could well have been one by Chicane or Seize, both known for bringing some really uplifting beats and layers into a song.

I can't say enough good things about this single, Almost all of Madonna's remix singles are great, but on this one, I can't think of one I don't like.
The CD cover photograph is a bit David Bowie (ish) - but it's by far the best one yet for her single releases off of 'American Life'.
