Topic: Maxwellian electromagnetic worldview

Paradigm shift - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Again, for early 20th century physics, the transition between the Maxwellian electromagnetic worldview and the Einsteinian Relativistic worldview was not instantaneous nor calm, and instead involved a protracted set of "attacks," both with empirical data as well as rhetorical or philosophical arguments, by both sides, with the Einsteinian theory winning out in the long-run.

Paradigm shift - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There are anomalies for all paradigms, Kuhn maintained, that are brushed away as acceptable levels of error, or simply ignored and not dealt with (a principle argument Kuhn uses to reject Karl Popper's model of falsifiability as the key force involve in scientific change).
Again, looking at early 20th century physics, the transition between the Maxwellian electromagnetic worldview and the Einsteinian Relativistic worldview was not instantaneous nor calm, and instead involved a protracted set of "attacks," both with empirical data as well as rhetorical or philosophical arguments, by both sides, with the Einsteinian theory winning out in the long-run.
This gave rise to much talk of different peoples and cultures having radically different worldviews or conceptual schemes — so different that whether or not one was better, they could not be understood by one another.

It is quite astonishing that alhough Maxwell's visualisations to help him in finding the Maxwell equations were in a completely different direction than elektrodynamics was later to take, the equations themselves have stood the test of time.
You can used Newtonian gravitation equations for pretty good approximations of the orbit of Jupiter, but nobody considers gravity to be what Newton did anymore, and don't use Newtonian conceptions when thinking about the limits of their knowledge or how to propose new experiments.
The transition between the Newtonian worldview and the Relativistic worldview is generally considered a typical example, whether or not you find it to have been a good example of a paradigm shift (your objection seems to be about the definition of paradigm shift itself more than whether this is an example of one).

It is well known that the conceptual nucleus of classical mechanics is that of the action-at-a-distance, and that its ontological premises are expressed by the Galilean group of transformations.(16) Therefore, the incompatibility of this group with the Maxwellian electromagnetism was inevitable.
From the dynamical point of view, on the contrary, it is evident that the electric charge is accelerated and that the electromagnetic wave is moving towards the immobile frame of reference: the Earth.
Electromagnetism requires a new one, and nothing permits to maintain that this new conception will be the.nal one.(59) The argument of Langevin concerns the concepts of space and time, that is to say, the gnoseological aspect of the problem.

In spite of all he says about the quadripolar acoustic waves generated by the molecule (which is the exact thesis our mathematical model of the quantum wave properties of DNA describes) in response to ambient electromagnetic radiation, somehow he did not run across our article and the issue of superconductivity is not raised.
There is little doubt in my mind that the status of superconductivity is an essential aspect of the processes involved, and that the acoustic “Cherenkov radiation” (phonons generated by the soliton wave induced in the molecule by pulsed electromagnetic radiation at specific frequencies and in the requisite waveforms) is in some sense gravitational in nature.
If superconductivity of DNA has been held hostage for such purposes, this is, indeed, depressing in light of the path the field of biotechnology has gone down in the interim, and the implications of processes involved with such DNA superconductivity for explicating pathogenesis of various degenerative and autoimmune diseases.

 HSPS sample paper: Alex Wellerstein
There was intense competition on the international physics scene between Albert Einstein's relativistic worldview and the Newtonian-Maxwellian aether worldview that predated it.
Adding to feelings of anti-relativism around the world were professional jealousies of Einstein, who, after his theory's apparent vindication by Eddington's observations of the 1919 solar eclipse, was idolized by the popular press and became the most well-known figure in science since Isaac Newton.
Lenard's claim of national differences in physics are not wholly untrue, as different nations do appropriate funding for different types of research and different communities pursue different ends (the notion that such variance is governed by racial characteristics is somewhat less concrete).

The simply located substance is the root presupposition of the modern scientific worldview: matter, or material, Euclidean notion of a point, still operational in the Universal Algebra, and the complex relational notion necessitated by the laws location, i.e., for an eventful matter dependent on its environment and in perpetual flux.42 Internal relations are also required.

It is clear that general relativity and particle physics form an incomplete description of physics, because the latter is fundamentally quantum-mechanical, and general relativity and the quantum go together like oil and water.
Despite decades of effort, Einstein was never able to find a theoretical framework for uniting relativity and electromagnetism.
He had hoped to formulate a physics based on certitudes, not the probabilities and acausal realities of quantum mechanics--just the things that had turned him away from a field he helped to found.

The facility was meant to be the start of a national (and later global) system of towers broadcasting power to users as electromagnetic waves.
There is some evidence that Wardenclyffe might have used extremely low frequency signals combined with a higher frequency signals.
Tesla believed that energy could be efficiently transmitted from the facility via longitudinal "non-Hertzian" (or ''maxwellian'') waves (''ed.'' see waves in plasmas for examples).

A "physics of information" has begun to develop which suggests that information relationships are as important as material, causal ones mediated in space and time.
Some, like Robert O. Becker, even suggest that organic life has a fundamental electromagnetic basis, and that cells may function as a kind of information transceiver.
But one can take a sort of "weak" position with regard to Tiplerian theory, and merely state that the universe is becoming more and more self-aware (through the sense organisms of conscious life), and, as a result, a more self-organizing system, reducing its own entropy.

Maxwell was born at 14 India Street, Edinburgh, Scotland.
