In spring, they migrate north at about 20 miles per day, and migration is complete by about mid May. Banding studies have shown that individual birds may follow the same route every year, often arriving at the same feeder on the same day.

As part of the consent agenda, it was moved by Hack, seconded by Dunfield, to approve the Public Transit Advisory Committee meeting minutes of April 15, 2004; and the Hospital Board meeting minutes of January 21, 2004, February 18, 2004, and March 17, 2003.  Motion carried unanimously.
Street was classified as a “minor arterial” and was paved approximately 39 feet wide.  There were daily traffic volumes of approximately 7,000 vehicles.  He said there were three vehicle crashes reported in that area during 2001, five crashes in 2002, and six crashes in 2003.  He said parking was currently prohibited along south side.
Street everyday and it was a problem, but he was no sure what to do about that problem.  He said he had talked to City staff about this issue and hopefully they could look at a holistic approach to traffic in East Lawrence because the situation was going to get worse.

Like it or not, these same people are the ones heading out into industry this May and their opinions of the technology which their companies use will often be taken into account.
Java may be firmly entrenched in the Computer Science departments and so it is being taught as the primary language at most schools, but we as developers and educators aren’t taking the time to show this new batch of engineers and programmers that Java isn’t slow and that it isn’t going to die anytime soon.

Being that May is National Foster Care Month, there were several news articles with regards to foster parenting and foster children last week.
The Court determined that a child who is the subject of a juvenile court proceeding to terminate parental rights is a party to that proceeding and, therefore, is entitled to independent counsel in certain circumstances.
The court, however, concluded it was unnecessary to address the issues of duty or proximate cause and, therefore, vacated those portions of the court of appeals’ decision.
