My Miscellaneous Page :: LimKitSiang July 18: May 13 riots - Commission of Inquiry to ascertain causes/events :: July ...
This is not a debate on whether the May 13, 1969 Incidents were caused by the DAP, the Taman Medan riots of 2001 caused by Indians, or whether the 1999 Election Appeal of the Malaysian Chinese Election Appeals Committee (Suqiu) were extremists – all of which are irresponsibly claimed by the Ethnic Relations guidebook.
I call on the Cabinet tomorrow to establish a Commission of Inquiry to ascertain the causes and events of May 13, 1969 riots as we should not allow biased, tendentious and irresponsible accounts to be given by certain university lecturers.
The May 13 Incident, the Taman Medan riots and the Suqiu Incident are “historic facts” but the various claims about them in the guidebook are historic lies.

Callier's theory was that her pre-existing condition was aggravated by repetitive heavy lifting over a period of nine years prior to May of 1990, and that the May 13 incident was "the straw that broke the camel's back," further aggravating the condition to the point that it required surgical correction.
He continued to insist, nevertheless, that the acute lifting episode on May 13 "did not cause Callier's condition to become symptomatic to the nature that it was causation on that day.

 Malaysia's Tenth General Elections
May 13 was, basically, a Malay-Malay political struggle with May 13 used as a camouflage – and the Chinese know this (and the Chinese knew that 1999 can be a repeat of 1969 as the scenario was so similar).
To better understand May 13, we need to go back to the pre-Merdeka days to see how independence was achieved and how the first leaders of independent Malaya were groomed to take over running the country.
The May 1969 General Elections were held soon after and the Alliance Party won only 40% of the votes resulting in them losing their two-thirds majority in Parliament.
