		The bitter conflicts which had marked the 17th of May celebrations in the 1920s and '30s were replaced after the war by a feeling of fellowship resembling that of the years around 1905.
		If the 17th of May celebrations in Norway are viewed in the long-term perspective, one is struck by the manner in which the annual celebrations have changed in character and content over the years.

		On the night of May 12th and early morning of Monday, May 13th, a cold front came through the area, leaving northerly winds at 15 to 30 mph in its wake and light rain amounts.
		The strong cold front that followed the thunderstorms the night of May 17th and early morning of Saturday May 18th caused gusty north winds around 20 to 35 mph, and allowed temperatures to fall to the 50s to lower 60s around and after sunrise Saturday.
		A record low for May 20th of 45 was observed at Austin Bergstrom and a record low for May 20th of 49 was observed at San Antonio.

		What if someone chose not to go with a 529 Plan to save for their child's college education, and instead purchased investments in the child's name with the expectation of selling those investments in 2008.
		Based on the pre-May 17th rules, no capital gains taxes would have been due provided the child is at least 14 years of age that year.
