The Rucinskies with the help of Jesus Valdez and the Spa Buenavista Hotel (our former name) put together a scholarship program that was active for many years, providing young adults with a chance to continue their education and learning, many of whom became doctors, lawyers among other professions.
Without this program it may have been difficult for these young adults and children to have continued their education.
They have slowed this week some with the full moon and concentrations of very small crabs in the water.

Rail transportation came to Cape May in 1863 and with the advent of steam packet transportation down the Delaware and across the Bay, new travelers and vacationers came to Cape May. Luxurious “cottages” were built during these post-war boom times.
As Cape May rebuilt and continued to be a fashionable summer watering spot, tourism competition was growing.
Today in Cape May, this Victorian influence is still very much alive in the many beautifully restored homes, hotels, and guest houses, as well as Cape May’s many activities with a Victorian theme.

According to the daily La Tribuna, the National Emergency Committee announced last week it had received a prediction of an earthquake in Honduras from the Seismograph Station in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Originally, a letter was sent via fax to the Honduran Ambassador in Germany from Stefan Cahita in Slovakia, stating that an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 to 5.5 on the Richter Scale would hit Honduras on May 24, give or take five days, with coordinates in the area of Gualaco, Olancho.
An AP article in the May 21 La Prensa told the tale of a supposed US corporation that is floating a plan to develop the Cisne islands which belong to Honduras.
