		In December 2004 the Jivitadana Hospital in Yangon, Mayanmar received a multi purpose heart monitor from Triple Gem Society.
		In December 2004, when I visited Mayanmar to attend the Fourth World Buddhist Summit in Yangon, I was able to carry this sensitive and expensive machine with me all the way from America to Sri Lanka and then to Burma.
		We are always grateful to all the contributors and volunteers of TGS whose efforts make it possible to obtain and donate such valuable and life saving medical equipment.

		India might finally decide to bypass Bangladesh in importing gas from Mayanmar since Bangladesh has been sitting idle for the last 15 months regarding a tri-nation gas pipeline.
		A draft memorandum of understanding (MOU) among India, Mayanmar and Bangladesh was signed in February 2005 for construction of the proposed tri-nation gas pipeline to carry gas from Mayanmar to India through Bangladeshi territory.
		Under the proposal, 950 kilometres of pipeline was expected to run through the Arakan state in Mayanmar via the Indian states of Mizoram and Tripura before entering Bangladesh to reach Kolkata.
