The committee is grateful to Christchurch Council for the use of the Quay, Saxon Square and the recreation grounds at Stanpit and Barrack Road.
The Christchurch Police are thanked for their continued support and patience.
Also thanks must go to the traders in Christchurch who are often inconvenienced by the carnival route - and in particular, restaurants who may have diners who are delayed in their arrival or departure during the carnival procession.

Christchurch (Twynham) was one of King Alfred's Royal Burghs (fort) in about 870 and remained a Royal possession until King Henry 1st bequeathed the Manor and lands to his cousin, Richard de Redvers, about the year 1100.
In consequence, the Chairman of the Council is the Mayor and the Vice-Chairman is the Deputy Mayor.
There were six bells in Christchurch Priory in 1727, also pitched in D. Christchurch Priory is notable in that it possesses two bells, the ninth and tenth, which were cast in 1370 and are among the oldest bells still rung regularly in Britain.

A new Mayor's secretary at Christchurch Borough Council is helping to promote the role of the Mayor and encourage groups and organisations to involve her in their activities.
Christchurch Council has continued its good record on complaint handling, with the Local Government Ombudsman receiving only 15 complaints during the year 2006/07 but not having to issue any reports on the complaints.
