	The Polish National Anthem
		The "Mazurek Dabrowskiego", Poland's national anthem since 1927, was written in 1797 by Jozef Wybicki when the Polish Legions commanded by General Henryk Dabrowski were deployed in Italy to fight under Napoleon Bonaparte.
		The original title was "Piesn Legionow Polskich we Wloszech" ("The song of the Polish Legions in Italy"); the name Mazurek Dabrowskiego was given to the song later.
		The Legions were created in Italy to fight under Napoleon against Austria for the liberation of Poland from the reign of its three invaders Russia, Austria and Prussia, which divided Poland's territory between them.

		Po II wojnie swiatowej Mazurek Dabrowskiego uznano za hymn panstwowy w 1948 r.

		Mazurek Dąbrowskiego (Dąbrowski's Mazurka) is the Polish national anthem (since 26 February 1927), written by Józef Wybicki in 1797.
		Originally called the "Anthem of the Polish Legions in Italy", it is also informally known in English as "Poland Is Not Yet Lost" or "Poland Has Not Yet Perished" from its initial verse, "Jeszcze Polska nie zginęła."
		The original lyrics to Dąbrowski's Mazurek, as written by Wybicki, included two additional stanzas (absent from the official lyrics to the Polish national anthem):

		The chorus "March, Dabrowski, from Italy to Poland" refers to the Polish legions, who were all wiped out in the Caribbean while members of Napoleon's troops.
		On February 28th 1927 the choice of "Dabrowski's Mazurek" as the national anthem was officially announced.
