Nevada Mining Association Collection 88-43   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-10)
The Nevada Mining Association (NMA) was organized in Tonopah, Nevada, on March 24, 1913 as the Nevada Mine Operators Association under the leadership of John.
One agency receiving particular attention was the Nevada Industrial Commission, since the Association was for many years the major underwriter of the State Insurance Fund (for example, contributing 80% of the capital in the fund in 1916).
The creation of this act coincided closely with the date of the creation of the Nevada Mining Association, and from the beginning was a chief concern of the Association, since premiums were paid to the insurance fund by employers, a large percentage of whom were mine owners.
