		McIntosh County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Dakota.
		In the county the population was spread out with 19.40% under the age of 18, 4.60% from 18 to 24, 19.40% from 25 to 44, 22.40% from 45 to 64, and 34.20% who were 65 years of age or older.
		The median income for a household in the county was $26,389, and the median income for a family was $31,771.

		He was county assesor in Logan County for many years, was also on the Lehr School Board and the clerk of the Logan County school for many years.
		Hildenbrand spent fifteen years of his life in McIntosh County farming, but decided in 1904 to throw his hat into the political ring and was elected Sheriff of McIntosh County in the fall election of 1904.
		He served the county well during 1905-06 and so efficiently in his first term, that the voters returned him to office again, and he held the office in 1907 and 1908 and again in 1908 and 1909.

	McIntosh County, North Dakota Genealogy
		The military route led from Fort Abercrombie on the Red River to Fort Yates on the west bank of the Missouri river.
		When the Dakota legislature decided to separate it from Logan county it got the name of E.H. McIntosh, a prominent member of the territorial Council.
		During the first years the county was often in great distress, as also were its first settlers.
