McLaren - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
McLaren, founded in 1963 by Bruce McLaren (1937–1970), is a racing team based in Woking, England, which is best known as a Formula One constructor but has also competed in the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race, Canadian-American Challenge Cup, and 24 Hours of Le Mans.
McLaren were comparatively lacklustre in the first few races of 2005, losing a lot of ground to Renault in both championships.
While McLaren were able to maintain this distinct speed advantage over the Renaults for most of 2005, the general reliability of the car proved to be a thorn in the team's side, costing them a number of race victories when Raikkonen had been leading or in contention to win.

Covenant News - McLaren: 'Finding the Right Words Is Difficult'
Critics argue that McLaren, who was named by TIME magazine earlier this year as one of the country's leading evangelicals, is a prime example of the postmodern age of fuzzy pluralism and relativism in which truth does not exist.
For McLaren, the core of the gospel is relational or "missional." Offering proofs and reasons that people should be saved and how to do it, is less important than extending an invitation to a relationship with Jesus and others in the kingdom of God.
McLaren proudly says that he is an "evangelical," and is concerned that some are moving away from considering themselves as such because they no longer feel included.

McLaren is the founding pastor of Cedar Ridge Community Church and a leading proponent of the self-titled "emergent movement." McLaren presents his willingness to openly dialogue, develop an honest narrative, and doubts about the faith as positive aspects to which all Christians should be able to relate.
McLaren declares that his gospel is one "where Christianity and the cause of Christ might not necessarily go together." (3)The "Christianity" promoted by McLaren may, in the end, have little to do with Christ - or at least with the Christ of Scripture.
