McLaren Applied Technologies, which develops commercial applications for the Group's technologies and provides an internal resource for facilities and expertise.
The Group is based at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking in the United Kingdom.

McLaren, founded in 1963 by Bruce McLaren (1937–1970), is a racing team based in Woking, England, which is best known as a Formula One constructor but has also competed in the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race, Canadian-American Challenge Cup, and 24 Hours of Le Mans.
McLaren were comparatively lacklustre in the first few races of 2005, losing a lot of ground to Renault in both championships.
While McLaren were able to maintain this distinct speed advantage over the Renaults for most of 2005, the general reliability of the car proved to be a thorn in the team's side, costing them a number of race victories when Raikkonen had been leading or in contention to win.

McLaren's group maintains that Texas was illegally annexed into the United States and is actually a sovereign nation.
Scheidt, the "guard" arrested Sunday, the group sought the release of Jo Ann Turner, who was arrested Tuesday in Austin on contempt-of-court charges related to a phony lien she filed against a moving company.
McLaren was jailed by a federal judge in West Texas last May for contempt, and that judge ordered federal marshals to again arrest him earlier this year.
