The McRib is a seasonal sandwich produced by the fast food restaurant chain McDonald's.
The McRib has a loyal and devoted following on the internet, including many who would like to see the McRib sandwich become a permanent item on McDonald's menu once again.
On November 1, 2005, McDonald's announced it would permanently delete the McRib from its menu following a final "McRib Farewell Tour" which some claim is purely marketing such as the "farewell tours" from many popular musicians.
