 Stereophile: Meadowlark Swift loudspeaker
Meadowlark Audio's new entry-level speaker, the Swift, seems cut from the same cloth: a smallish, floorstanding two-way with a minimalist, first-order crossover, and with specs that suggest at least a fair match with low-power tube amps.
As in all other Meadowlark speakers, the rear wave of the Swift's low-frequency driver plays into a folded transmission line: a long and typically well-damped labyrinth whose purpose has more to do with lowering the driver's resonant frequency than with asking the rear wave to contribute much in the way of sound output.
The slender Meadowlarks would be tippy if not for their separate wooden bases: rocket-shaped things that screw to the Swifts' underbellies and widen their footprints, as well as provide threaded inserts for pointed feet of the usual sort.

Time coherence is exemplified in the carefully calculated slant of the baffle, which compensates naturally for the speed differences among the woofer, midrange and tweeter so that the direct waveform from all three drivers reaches the ear at the same time.
Meadowlark makes much of their loudspeakers being hand-made in America, and of their use of real wood.

Meadowlark's Swift: Sharp-Looking Buttkicker for Under $1K/Pair by Wayne Donnelly
The familiar Meadowlark characteristics are there -- slanted-baffle driver alignment and simple first-order crossover for time coherence, transmission-line bass alignment, compact footprint and attractive wood finish -- but the Swift differs significantly, outside and in, from its predecessors.
The familiar Meadowlark form factor -- a rectangular footprint with the upper front of the enclosure a decoupled slanted baffle for the drivers -- is replaced by a sporty design that features a front slanted from bottom to top, with the well finished transmission-line port located near the bottom.
