Cinema of Canada - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Toronto International Film Festival is considered one of the most important events in North American film, showcasing both Canadian talent and Hollywood films.
Although Canadian films have often received critical praise, and the National Film Board has won more Academy Awards than almost any other institution (for both their animation and documentary work), it is almost a national joke that Canadian films fail to make back their production costs at the box office.
This is not necessarily connected to reality, as many good films have been made in Canada and many bad ones have been made in Hollywood, but the idea nevertheless presents a significant hurdle to Canadian filmmakers seeking to build an audience for their work.

Film Score September 2001 - The Madman and His Muse
Together, Badalamenti and Lynch seemed to have invented their own version of the film soundtrack, a musical purgatory where every kind of style and sound floats about in a beautiful state of dread, all trying to be heard at once-a soundscape that's nothing less than hypnotic.
While the film winds its way through L.A.'s boulevard of broken (and very bad) dreams, the music veers from nearly motionless string dread to noir jazz and audio feedback, the rhythms building to an explosion of infinite darkness.
I always tell a director before he dubs the film, "No one can leave the theater humming a sound effect." I really believe that David feels that music is the voice of his concepts.

MEATBALLS sports a Dolby Digital 2.0 soundtrack, which offers the film in stereo- a genuine upgrade from the film’s original theatrical monaural.

The film is rated PG but should be PG-13 due to the excessive sexual innuendo, crude jokes, and cross dressing implications.

Yes, I am sure that there are some of you that are willing to defend the 70s to the death, but even die-hard fans of polyester and disco would be more than hesitant to stick up for ultra-cheesy folk songs (that unfortunately permeate the soundtrack) and men wearing afros.
Most of Meatballs consists of small tidbits of camp life, from campers playing sports to the CITs abusing their power recklessly.
