	MÃ©daille militaire - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The MÃ©daille militaire is one of rarest French decorations to be bestowed upon foreigners, in contrast to such medals as the Croix de guerre.
		In addition to the individual medal, the MÃ©daille militaire is also authorized as a unit award to those military commands who display the same criteria of bravery as would be required for the individual medal.
		The unit award is known as the FourragÃ¨re of the MÃ©daille militaire and is worn as a cord suspended from the shoulder of a military uniform.

		While Robles states the red and green cords are for the Croix de Guerre and the Yellow and Green cord is for the Medaille Militaire, which makes more sense because the ribbon of the Croix de Guerre is red and Green and the ribbon of the Medaille Militaire is yellow and green.
		But then to complicate things more Robles states there is no way to denote additional awards yet there are two types, one with long green stripes and one with short green dashes and Stanton says the dashes are for two awards and the long strips are for four awards.
