  Mediaeval Baebes @ SWerquin.net
The Mediaeval era is particularly fascinating because the poverty of the times produced an ironically rich and vibrant age with a wealth of imagery we still draw upon.
Mediaeval man was intrinsically linked to nature - a person's fortunes would fluctuate with the seasons - a harmonious coexistence had developed, with respect for the Earth as the consequence.
The rediscovery of Mediaeval music is not unique to the Baebes but their attitude towards it perhaps is. Nine beautiful women with a provocative sense of humour and a pronounced sense of fun are not going to come quietly.

Devoted to mediaeval song and looking sexy, the group has been signed to Virgin Records and have now released their first album, Salva Nos (1997 CDVE935) which means 'Save Us'.
This postmodern audio-visual combination of mediaeval pastiche and gothic fetishism is calculated to upset serious exponents of early music while their plans to perform in churches have been complicated by their association with paganism and witchcraft.

Mediaeval font family : MyFonts   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-07)
Mediaeval in printing terminology means a kind of Roman type face of Renaissance origin with strengthened round shapes; it has nothing to do with the Middle Ages.
Mediaeval has a robust skeleton covered in soft flesh and its italics still show the Renaissance dynamics.
Mediaeval has, in addition, been adapted for use in architecture; two memorial plaques on the Old Town Hall in Prague are a proof of this.

Skeleton find points to huge mediaeval graveyard below St Andrews town centre - [Sunday Herald]
“As mediaeval cemeteries only had temporary grave markers and in some cases no grave markers at all, it was an easy process for buildings to slowly invade the green space of the graveyard in the middle of the town,” said Speirs.
Such was the pressure on graveyards throug-hout the late mediaeval and post-mediaeval period that tonnes of topsoil would frequently be dumped on cemeteries in a desperate bid to seal in the stench of the decaying bodies whilst providing another layer of soil in which to bury more people.
As a result of this process, the archaeologists at St Andrews have found the ground to be a “mish-mash” of skeletons and bones from a variety of historical periods.

 Making Mediaeval Shoes
Shoes in the late mediaeval period were constructed in a somewhat different manner to their modern day equivalent.
It generally takes a couple of passes with the knife to cut through sole leather, you need to be as accurate as possible at this stage as the smallest mistake now can ruin the shoe.
Remember that mediaeval shoes are made inside-out and then turned so make sure the rough side of the leather is on the outside.

.ce;.us;THE CHANGING ROLE OF ENTIA RATIONIS IN MEDIAEVAL
My second thesis is that this systematic role of entia rationis in the via antiqua tradition of mediaeval thought was simply eliminated by the advent of Ockhamist semantics, which opened up the way towards a radical reinterpretation of the concept of entia rationis and towards a new research programme for ontology.
In the rest of this paper I wish to use it in a very restricted, technical sense, referring to a particular way of constructing semantic theory, sharply distinguishable from Ockham's and his followers' way (both to be described later).
Nevertheless, since discussion of this problem would exceed the limits of this paper, with this reservation in mind, for the sake of this discussion let me simply call a term n-ary, if it were represented in standard quantification theory by an n-ary predicate parameter.

This pattern has been documented radiographically in living samples of adolescents whose hand preferences were known, and is the basis for the use made by forensic anthropologists of long bone length as an indicator of the hand preference of individuals they are seeking to identify.
Steele and Mays took measurements of the lengths of the humerus and the radius in adult mediaeval skeletons excavated from the cemetery of the mediaeval village of Wharram Percy, in Yorkshire.
It seems, therefore, that the inhabitants of this later mediaeval community had a distribution of hand use preferences which was either unconstrained by, or resistant to, cultural pressures for conformity.

This orthodox prayer, which was composed specifically for them, has no other kin remotely like it in the set and yet this lone performance unambiguously places Trio Mediaeval on their own ground, safely outside any problem of authenticity.
Substantial proprieties are necessarily built into commercial resurrection of ancient sacred music and this recording does not avoid the crisis of intent and license faced by conservatory-trained professionals.
Fortunately, Trio Mediaeval's voices are so good, of such immaculate pitch and so well matched to each other tonally, the sheer sonic wield of throats seems to transcend the questions of proper spiritual utility and propriety.

 Medieval Philosophy
(Dod [1982].) This "recovery" of Aristotle in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries was a momentous event in the history of mediaeval philosophy.
Still, while it important to emphasize this absence of primary texts of Greek philosophy in the Latin Middle Ages, it is also important to recognize that the medievals knew a good deal about Greek philosophy anyway.
Hence, even though it is sometimes still done, it is quite wrong to think of mediaeval philosophy as mainly just a matter of warmed-over commentaries on Aristotle.
