  Jupiter (Deity) - LoveToKnow 1911
As Jupiter Elicius he was propitiated, with a peculiar ritual, to send rain in time of drought; as Jupiter Fulgur he had an altar in the Campus Martius, and all places struck by lightning were made his property and guarded from the profane by a circular wall.
The vintage, which needs especially the light and heat of the sun, was under his particular care, and in the festivals connected with it (Vinalia Urbana) and Meditrinalia, he was the deity invoked, and his flamen the priest employed.
Throughout Italy we find him worshipped on the summits of hills, where nothing intervened between earth and heaven, and where all the phenomena of the sky could be conveniently observed.

In Roman religion, Meditrinalia was an obscure festival celebrated on October 11 in honor of the new vintage, which was offered in libations to the gods for the first time each year.
It was known to be somehow connected to Jupiter and to have been an important ceremony in early agricultural Rome, but beyond that, only speculation exists.
Meditrina was a Roman goddess who seems to have been a late Roman invention to account for the origin of Meditrinalia.

 October - LoveToKnow 1911
In the Julian calendar, while retaining its old name, it became the tenth month, and had thirty-one days assigned to it.
The meditrinalia, when a libation of new wine was made in honour of Meditrina, were celebrated on the 11th, the faunalia on the 13th, and the equiria, when the equus October was sacrificed to Mars in the Campus Martius, on the 15th.
Several attempts were made to rename the month in honour of the emperors.

"The day of the Meditrinalia in month October was named from 'mederi' (to be healed), as Flamen Martialis Flaccus used to say that on this day it was the custom to make a libation of new and old wine and to taste it in order to be healed.

 Events of Meditrinalia & Fontinalia
Traditionally Meditrinalia was the festival of the new wine, in honour of both the goddess of medicine Meditrina and Jupiter, as a god of wine.
Fontinalia, for its part, continued the Meditrinalia celebrations - it is quite likely Romans were healing their hangover with some more wine and water from the fountains - as a festival to honour the fountains of Rome.
Although Meditrinalia and Fontinalia were traditionally celebrated a couple of days earlier, our festivities are a part of the overall site Goldfest and thus, the days allocated to Rome are October 13-15.

Her name was Meditrina, and she was the deity in charge of wine, longevity and health -- so concerned with our well-being that some say the word ''medicine'' came from her name.
Every Oct. 11 came the festival called Meditrinalia -- when the season's harvest was in and its first wines made, devotees would mix new wine with old, drink a copious share and pour a little onto the earth for the gods and goddesses.
Evolution has long been appreciated for its compatibility with spicier fare.
