		The Medium Mark B was a British tank of the First World War developed as a successor to the Whippet, but ultimately unsatisfactory and production was cancelled at the end of World War 1.
		The last British unit to have the Mark B in service was 17th (Armoured Car) Battalion during the Anglo-Irish War.

		In the (likely) case the Medium Mark D wouldn't be ready for mass production in 1919 the Tank Corps hoped to receive no less than 6000 Medium C's that year, a third of which of a "Male" version with a long six-pounder gun in the front of the superstructure.
		From 1925 onward the Medium C was gradually replaced by the Vickers Medium Mark I and Vickers Medium Mark II.

		One feature of the Medium C design which was advanced for it’s time was that assemblies and sub-assemblies were intended to be manufactured in different factories, coming together only for final construction.

		The 'Whippet' (=wind hound), as it was also known, differed from the other British tracked vehicle projects in many ways: the unsuspended tracks were flat rather than running across the entire hull of the vehicle, which greatly saved on the weight.
		This made the tank substantially faster and more agile than it's heavyweight Mark cousins, and it enabled the tan o take much sharper and faster turns, due to the ability to have one track run forward while the other runs backwards.
		Furthermore, the Munitions Ministry ordered the production of a new tank, referred to as the 'Medium Tank Mark B', which was to become the successor of the Whippet.
