Mega Man Anniversary Collection - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A game of the same name (previously known as Mega Man Mania, and before that, it was known as Mega Man Anniversary Collection) was supposed to be released on the Game Boy Advance.
The title was highly anticipated, as Mega Man IV and V are exceedingly rare.
As of January 25, 2006, some customers had received their checks (along with a letter from Capcom reiterating the "indefinite hold" status), while some were still waiting, and some were presumably unaware of the situation.

However, a few of the more intentional ones were retained, including the Mega Man 7 secret password mode (hold slide+fire for it, rather than L/R).
Naturally, though, this doesn’t apply to Mega Man 1 or Mega Man 8, which don’t have passwords, or any item that you have to beat the game to unlock.

However for those of you who don't own Mega Man's classic NES and early SNES adventures, the compilation of Mega Man 1 through 8, along with two previously Japan-only arcade titles, Mega Man the Power Battle and Mega Man 2 the Power Fighters, may well serve as a decent introduction.
