Sure, a lot of people doubted how good a Mega Man RPG would be, but their worries were alleviated somewhat when it was announced that Command Mission was being developed by the same team that created Capcom's popular PS2 RPG, Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter.

The collection includes all the classic games, Mega Man 1 through Mega Man 8, plus two average fighting games never before released in the U.S. For newbies who don’t know much about the series, Mega Man is a blue robot with a heart of gold.
Mega Man Anniversary Collection does include plenty of art and audio to unlock as well as the two unreleased fighting games, both of which are pretty bad.

Of course, this will not always work, in which case you need to transmit chip data to Mega Man. Taken from the GBA title, chips are storage mediums that contain information on different attack and defense mechanisms that Mega Man can perform.

 G4 - Feature - Mega Man X Collection Review
And while the original Mega Man Anniversary Collection released a couple years back introduced a whole generation of gamers to the hero's humble beginnings, Mega Man X Collection is more like Mega Man's "E! True Hollywood Story" in that it chronicles the robot's highest peaks and lowest valleys all on one convenient disc.
Once the initial confusion over the name died down--folks thought the "X" in the title was the roman numeral "10"--the updated graphics, sound, and darker setting combined with the tried-and-true Mega Man gameplay (defeat each boss, gain their powers, move on to the next challenge) to create an instant classic.
The Mega Man X Collection is a respectable compilation of the blue bomber's other adventures, though it pales a bit in comparison to the Anniversary Collection released a couple of years back.
