Gamer's Logik 4.0 - Mega Man Network Transmission Preview
This is the first Mega Man game to hit the GameCube and Capcom has made it an exclusive; the reason for this most likely being that Mega Man NT is related to the initial Game Boy Advance games in the series.
The Mega Man series, one of the longest running franchises in gaming and encompassing the Classic, X, Legends, Zero, and Network series and the many installments in each, features perhaps some of the most well recognized games to date - all of which incorporate different takes and elements into the Mega Man universe.
Specifically, Mega Man NT takes place between the first two GBA installments, except that now there's a new threat in cyberspace: the "Zero Virus." It rests on the shoulders of Lan and his cyberspace counterpart Mega Man to delete this insidious virus - solving puzzles and battling various bosses on the way to achieve victory.

The overall gameplay is arguably much more balanced in the first three Mega Man X games (which you’re likely to notice), but even the later games in the series have their moments.
All of the Mega Man X games in this compilation follow that general formula, and although it truly does start to wear thin after a dozen or so titles (if you include the original eight Mega Man games, most of which preceded the X series), this is still quality gaming.
Mega Man (or in this case, X) begins with very little in the way of weaponry and equipment, and he collects numerous upgrades (most of which come from beating the bosses themselves and stealing their powers) as he makes his way through the game’s levels.
