Collections such as these should serve as a punctuation mark on the series, and as such should come packed full of extras so that even those fans who already own the included games individually will feel enticed to return to the checkout counter.
Enjoyment of the X Collection will hinge on whether you enjoyed these games in the first place, because there isn't much content to be found aside from art galleries.
X collection is no different, and will probably fail to bring in any new fans to the iconic character.

 Mega Man X Collection (ps2: 2006): Reviews
The original Mega Man X is my second favorite game in the series, though it is easily one of the most carefully polished and well put together games in the series.
Even though the later Mega Man titles are not as good as the first few, it is still a very incredible collection of Mega Man X games in one nice little package.
In the grand scheme of things, this collection of X is quite good, though I prefer the original series for its curtailed story and straightforward gameplay.

Mega Man X and X2 are both fantastic titles, but the series started to go downhill at X3 and the last few titles weren’t really worth your time the first time around either.
The Mega Man X Collection may not be quite as good as the previous Mega Man Collection, but it packs its own punch and is still a good value.
