Megan Louise Ireland (born August 18, 1967) is a notable Australian con artist and thief who was involved in a worldwide Lotto scam and fraud.
A former school teacher born in the northern New South Wales area of Lismore and residing in Leichhardt, New South Wales, her activities were uncovered after a complaint from a parent that Ireland had sexually propositioned a male high school student, in letters found by a tutor, in 2003.
Following a police inquiry, it was revealed she had been teaching in state schools after being banned from the University of Sydney following the discovery of a forged reference to gain entry into a Masters of Education program.
