Both the Melbourne Victory and the FFA are finding it tough to get local business investors to fork out just $5 million to fund a team representing the second biggest city in the country.

SYDNEY FC is set to pip Melbourne Victory in the chase for Socceroo defender Kevin Muscat.Victory has been eyeing Muscat as the ideal captain for its entry to the A-League and is due to have talks with the defender's agent today.
But Sydney FC has more money to spend and has openly declared it's on the trail of a current Socceroo to sign as its marquee player.
