The festival runs from the 14th to the 30th of June, and is the first time in almost thirty years that David will have been involved with an event on the South Bank since his legendary Royal Festival Hall performance of July 8th 1972.

We at Meltdown are experts at time travel - having experienced, over the years, medieval balladry, 50s skiffle, 40s swing, crumhorns galore, and (on one memorable occasion) King Arthur knighting the entire audience.
As Christmas Meltdown bashes go this one seemed a bit thin audience-wise but, as ever, it was fun and it’s always a joy to play Clwb Ifor Bach.
Well worth the wait (see previous Meltdown entry for what happened at Journeys last time when Andy hurt his back picking up his amp- he’s invested in a new one now by the way which is approximately the size of a box of Swan Vesta’s!).
