The Memorial Coliseum is an indoor arena, the oldest part of what is now known as the Rose Quarter area within Portland, Oregon.
It was dedicated on January 8, 1961 to the "advancement of cultural opportunities for the community and to the memory of our veterans of all wars who made the supreme sacrifice." The facility is 100 ft (30 m) tall and has a footprint of about 3.1 acres (13,000 m²).
Three NBA championship series have been (partially) played in the Coliseum; in 1977 (when the Trail Blazers won) and in 1990 and 1992 (in which years the Blazers were defeated).

The focus of the Phase II study is on the Memorial Athletic and Recreation Complex (MARC), a hybrid option that would maintain the Coliseum and add a public recreation complex on adjacent land, and a general capital improvement program option that would retain the Memorial Coliseum as a spectator venue for the foreseeable future.
The study is expected to be completed by June and will include a public workshop sometime in early to mid-June 2003.
