Hi i ran memtest86 v3.2 on my system and got errors after about 2 minutes this is with the memory at stock speed and timing i also tried raising the voltage at bit with no luck.
I used it every day at work and i have seen it report errors on a system that works absolutly perfect, it was actually a P4 system with an Asus board and XMS Corsair memory...
I just said that i have seen memtest86 give me thousands of errors but the windows one will run all night and the system never crashes.

I decided to give Memtest86 a go on my computer tonight, to see if my memory is up to par.
There are some systems that cause Memtest86 to be confused about the size of memory and it will try to test non-existent memory.
This will cause a large number of consecutive addresses to be reported as bad and generally there will be many bits in error.

Earlier this evening I’ve booted the server into memtest86+ and left it running for default settings for over 5 hours.
My situation is made more difficult by the fact that this server is in a datacentre in San Francisco and I am in UK; my only means of interaction with it is by serial console and remote PDU to power cycle if necessary.
I’m going to take the memtest86 bootable disks to some other machines and see if e820-All always fails on all machines.

I have heard that Memtest86 v3.0 doesn't always "play nicely" with HT enabled processors and dual channel chipsets.
I know MemTest86 will lock up on a P4C800 Deluxe if you don't turn off legacy USB support, and I would suspect the same thing would happen on a P4C800-E. I do have legacy USB support enabled in the BIOS.
I forgot to mention that, occasionally during Memtest86, that the P4C800-E would beep like it does when it's on the POST screen.
