The Messerschmitt Me 210, intended to replace the twin engine Me 110 fighter, was a disaster and one of the worse aircraft to see mainstream production during World War II.
The Me 410 was the final result of the continuing attempts to produce a suitable Zerstörer (Destroyer) heavy fighter after the debacle with the Me 210.
In so far as this plane was superior to any previous twin engine German fighter it was successful unfortunately it added little to the war effort and faired badly against Allied fighters.
