		Metal Slug X, which is actually a special edition of sorts of the Neo Geo/Arcade game Metal Slug 2, plays like many other 2D-action shooters.
		Metal Slug X's Combat School mode is actually made up of two different parts, the PinPoint and Survival modes.
		The graphics in Metal Slug X are some of the best I've seen on the Playstation, at least for a 2D game.

		While some new Slug vehicles were introduced into that game, you only got to use them in one particular area each; for example, the Mecha Slug was only used to defeat the boss on stage 2, which was a crying shame as it was very cool.
		As with most weapons in Metal Slug however, you cannot fire diagonally constantly; basically if you are firing to either the left or right and then press up (or up and then left/right), you will fire a few shots in a diagonal direction in between.
		Metal Slug X has not changed massively from Metal Slug 2 in the graphical department, although SNK has done a lot to try to improve on an already excellent game.

		When I originally played Metal Slug X I didn't notice any real improvement in the sound at all.
		It was only when I went back for a quick blast on Metal Slug 2 just to refresh my memory that I began to notice that it actually was different.
		Hopefully you will still have the Slug Mecha, unless you suck really badly at the game that is. The mecha will help your cause quite a bit, and even if you lose it, it still means you can take a couple of hits from the projectiles that get fired at you before you die.

		You start on the desert level and yes its different to metal slug 2, the end boss is like a big great dirty tank compared to the hovering plane thing you got in ms2.

		The controls for the game are simple enough; square "[]" is shoot, cross "X" is jump, circle "O" is throw a grenade and triangle "/\" is unused as far as I recall.
		There is no option to use the analogue stick so it is the right arrow to move to the right, left arrow to move left, up arrow to aim up and down arrow to duck.
		Metal Slug is like this for a reason.
