Metapad is a light, basic text editor for Windows, very much like Notepad, with one exception: it doesn't suck.
Unlike Notepad, Metapad has easy toolbar button access to word wrap, font settings, the print button and search and replace.
Metapad will link web page addresses, and even has a neat transparency setting, so you can see right through a Metapad window to what you were working on underneath it (Windows 2000/XP).
