As in all other Metroid games, you'll assume the role of interstellar bounty hunter Samus Aran, whose objective this time out is to search the planet Tallon IV for signs of illicit activity on the part of the Zebesian space pirates and put a stop to them once and for all.
Unlike in previous Metroid games, none of Samus' weapons are ever replaced--her arsenal only grows in size, and all her available armaments remain tactically useful throughout the game.
Metroid Prime is a lengthy game that should take approximately 20 hours to finish the first time through, though you could easily spend a lot more time in the game trying to find everything that's hidden away.

The Metroid larva was given to a group of scientists and was determined to be useful for society.
The dying Metroid falls on top of Samus and Samus is in full power and real upset that Mother Brain killed her "child" (they might be different species but a mother's instinct doesn't recongnize species).

However, Metroid II is more straightforward in the sense that advancement through the levels is not strictly controlled by item acquisition as in the other games, but by killing a fixed number of Metroids in the area.
This game is the first in the series to feature the Spider Ball and the Spring Ball, all of which have become Metroid series staples, in later titles.
Metroid II was more linear than the first game since its objective was destroying Metroids to progress rather than finding new pathways through exploration (although it is necessary to find new paths to find the Metroids).

Metroid Fusion - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Metroid Fusion represented somewhat of a departure for the series, as it scrapped the semi-nonlinear adventure formula from earlier Metroid games and introduced a non-playable computer character to direct the player where to go and what to do there (thus making it significantly harder to sequence break and explore freely in the game).
Samus spends most of the game being stalked by the SA-X, which appears unexpectedly in various locations, and Samus, who is much weaker than the SA-X due to her having the Fusion Suit and the SA-X mimicing her and her Power Suit, must either hide or escape until she is powerful enough to defeat it.
Some criticized the lack of Metroids in the game; the amount was significantly less than the other games in the series; it has the least amount of them of any of the games except for Metroid Prime: Hunters, which has none at all.

Metroid: Zero Mission" is a Game Boy Advance remake of the game "Metroid" for the Nintendo Entertainment System, which started the "Metroid" series of games.
The original Metroid's challenge factor was one of the reasons it was so interesting a game, but this remake of the original is too much easier than the original.

Metroid (species) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Metroids are a fictional species of parasitic alien creatures from the video game series of the same name, originating from the fictional planet SR-388.
However, Metroids normally drain enough energy to kill their victims - making it a target to be used as a biological weapon by Zebesian Space Pirates.
The egg-laying Metroid Queen appears to be the only form in which Metroids can normally reproduce, but Metroid Prime can instantly produce Metroids, Hunter Metroids, and Fission Metroids, though the method of production is never mentioned in the game.

Metroid: Zero Mission Review - GamersMark
The game is akin to Samus' latest 2D offering, Metroid Fusion, featuring some of maneuvers first introduced in that game, such as the Power Grip, as well as bringing back others from previous Metroid games, not featured in Metroid Fusion, such as the Plasma Beam, Varia and Gravity suits.
This is where Metroid: Zero Mission stops being the great Metroid game it once seemed to be and turns into Splinter Cell knock-off, with Samus hiding from Space Pirates, sometimes even in the shadows, in order to find her way out.
Although, this portion of the game does happen to be entertaining, it hadn't been necessary to the game in the slightest.

In the year 20X5 of the history of the cosmos, a research team returned from an expedition to an uninhabited planet designated SR-388 with heavy casualties and a very valuable prize: a life form they called "Metroid." Its species was apparently responsible for wiping out the civilization that once flourished on SR-388's surface.
She had plans to use the Metroid as a weapon, and had flooded her base of operations, Tourian, with beta radiation to force the Metroid to grow and multiply.

 Metroid Fusion Review - GamersMark
Metroid was the natural predator of X, they fed upon the species, and because of that Samus developed a form of immunity against the effects of the parasite.
Even though some faces may look familiar, under that disguise is an X. I also mentioned earlier that the Metroids fed on the X, and since Samus has Metroid DNA in her, she also feeds on the X, making the X her source of health, and oddly ammunition.
The game is pure genius from start to finish; an amazing adventure worthy of standing toe to toe with its predecessor on all levels.
