 ECW 1995 NOVEMBER TO REMEMBER
The opening matches and acts were appropriate as openers and while the main matches weren’t all great matches, they were the most important ones from a booking standpoint.
The Mexican death match was excellent, but some could be turned off by the frequent falls and the fact that the ECW blowoff match for Misterio and Psicosis was not their best.
Besides the main event and the Mexican death match, one other match produced strong work in the Pitbulls vs Eliminators, which was very strong from a moves standpoint and wasn’t too long.

This wasn’t the greatest match these two had over the course of their on-again-off-again feud, but it was still pretty good.
A good match that was highlighted by some sound mat wrestling at the beginning mixed in with a wild brawl in the stands and the merchandise area.
Some of their matches when they were actually in ECW might have been more appropriate to put on the DVD, but that’s a minor complaint.

For 5 straight matches seemingly, the general tone was apathy.
That three match period, with Gunn/Suzuki, Sable/Torrie, and Holly/Mordecai was horrific.
It really struck me how far WWE had fallen, (and perhaps how good we had it for years with great WWF ppv undercards) as it was like something out of the 1994/1995 era of King Kong Bundy, Bob Backlund and I.R.S. undercards.

The match was incredible, featuring the best of both wrestlers, and would eventually be named 1997 Match of the Year by WCW magazine.
In March '03, Mysterio was set up in a match with Jaime Noble and Tajiri, with the winner to be declared the #1 Contender to the WWE Cruiserweight Title, which was around the waist of Matt Hardy.
