Meyer¹s soon discovered he was losing money on each car he produced decided to redesign the Manx I. The result was the Mark II which was not a full fiberglass " bathtub: abut a fiberglass body that bolted onto a Volkswagen bell pan.
Whether you purchase the Manx Kit "A: or Kit "B" you are going to need a Volkswagen 1200 Sedan (1961 or later preferred) floor plan complete with pedal assembly; shift lever and linkage assembly; rear transaxle, torsion bar trailing arm assemblies; engine from any year VW sedan, truck, variant, Porsche or Corvair.

The original Meyers Manx won the first Baja 1000 off-road race in 1967, and it was the world's first fiberglass dune buggy, created in '60s style with '60s technology.

The Manx 2's produced after Bruce left the country had 4-digit serial numbers and no longer had the reinforcing tubes under the fenders.

We drilled holes in the windshield frame and then used round 1/4-20 threaded balls to hold the bow down to the windshield.
The rear bow was made from plywood with studs screwed into the manx's body making it removeable.
We purchased the sidepods from the Manx Dune Buggy Club, had them painted at a paint shop and then installed them.
