Montgomery County is a county located in the state of Ohio, United States.
In the county, the population was spread out with 24.70% under the age of 18, 9.70% from 18 to 24, 29.00% from 25 to 44, 22.90% from 45 to 64, and 13.70% who were 65 years of age or older.
The median income for a household in the county was $40,156, and the median income for a family was $50,071.

Henry Groby grew to manhood in Montgomery county from the age of six years, attended the public schools, and when of sufficient age served an apprenticeship of two years at the carpenter's trade with his uncle, David Groby, by whom he was afterward employed for eighteen years as a journeyman.
He then returned to Miami township and engaged in farming for two years, at the end of which time he entered the employ of Hoover and Gamble, in January, 1869, and remained with this firm until September, 1879, during the last five years of which period he was foreman of the flsmithing department.

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP is situated in the southeastern part of the county, and is bounded on the north by Van Buren Township, on the east by Greene County, on the south by Warren County, and on the west by Miami Township.
At the time of the establishment of the church in this township, Miami Circuit was under the control of the conference in Kentucky, by whom, in 1810, the circuit was divided, the northern division retaining the old name of Miami, while the southern was called Union Circuit.
In 1879, the Trustees of the township submitted the question of a town hall to the voters, and, with an overwhelming majority, they responded "Yes." The building was erected in 1880, and is quite a model for neatness and sensible arrangement.
