		It seems to be the general fannish consensus, insofar as I can tell, that this series began to decline after the lamentable death of Harry Goz, and I'm afraid I'll have to agree.
		Some essential chemistry went missing with the departure of Capt. Murphy, and while Tornado Shanks has some good lines, his character—a vaguely Southern but not particularly redneck sports nut—just doesn't jibe with the ambiance and the roles of the others.

		Sealab jumped the shark when Hank Murphy left and was replaced with Tornado Shanks.
		My point is that Murphy was the anchor of the show.
		And once Harry Goz was gone and there was no more Murphy, the show lost it big time, similar to Newsradio after it lost Phil Hartman.

		This is the final stretch of Sealab 2021 cartoons.
		By the time this batch had rolled around (late 2004), Harry Goz had long left us (passed away due to Melanoma in 2003) and his character, Captain Murphy, was replaced by Bellerophon "Tornado" Shanks (voiced by Harry’s son, Michael Goz).
		Also by this time, all of the animation was being done in Flash, and the storylines had severely waned.
