The Right Honourable Robert Michael Oldfield Havers, Baron Havers, QC (10 March 1923–1 April 1992) was a British lawyer and politician.From his knighthood in 1972 until becoming a peer he was known as Sir Michael Havers.
He was a son of High Court Judge Sir Cecil Havers and brother of Dame Elizabeth Butler-Sloss (born 1933) who in 1988 became the first woman named to the Court of Appeal and later President of the Family Division.
His sons are the Honourable Philip Havers, QC and the actor, the Honourable Nigel Havers.

The Honourable Nigel Allan Havers (born November 6, 1949) is a popular British actor, known mainly for his television work.
The son of a former Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Lord Havers, the former Michael Havers QC, he was born in London and educated at the Arts Educational School.

Michael, according to the diarist, succeeded in rhyming verse, and wrote a merry tune.
Excellent point that if Michael Maybrick had been a versifier, we should expect him to have written lyrics to at least some of the songs he published, but that appears not to be the case.
