This is really pedantic but Parkinson doesn't have cards, or an autocue - you can tell that from this video and any other footage of him: there's nothing in his hands and he is looking at the person he's interviewing.
I hate to disagree, but Michael Parkinson is a broadcasting legend and Meg Ryan was being extremely uncooperative, she looked surprised by every question he asked and gave minimal answers at best.
Parkinson's only option was to address her behaviour, or he would have been stuck with a fucking possum giving one-word responses to his questions for 15 minutes.

hi i agree with the general consensus that Parkinson did not give enough time to Michael and he should have touched a lot more on CT and not about the past, i think Robbie Williams is too bigheaded, Michael looked wonderful though.
