The New York Observer Politicker: State Staffing Change   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-04)
Michael Fragin just sent out an e-mail informing colleagues that Wednesday will be his last day working in the Governor's office, as he is taking a job as the Vice President of Strategic Planning at the Battery Park Authority.
Fragin confirmed the move and emphasized that he is "still part of the Pataki orbit." He also said that the move has nothing to do with the demonstrations in Borough Park or Jonathan Greenspun's moving on as liaison to the Jewish community for the Bloomberg administration.
Michael has been a delight to work with.Clearly what separates him from the rest is that he puts people first he will truly be missed.Best of luck.

Michael Pataki - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pataki was so well loved that at a reception for the theatre group acclaimed British actor Lawrence Harvey, whom Michael had never met, said he was magnificent and gave him a big wet kiss on the mouth.
Pataki was also a regular on the Spider-Man series, and had a re-occurring role on McCloud as well.
Michael Pataki's film credits include Rocky IV in which he played Nicoli Koloff, the sports administrator for the Russian team.

Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
While Michael is being transferred to Smith's Grove he escapes and goes to Haddonfield where he attempts to kill his niece Jamie Lloyd.
Critics praised the acting performance of Danielle Harris as Michael's niece Jamie, and also praised the return of the more stalker type of character of Michael Myers from the first Halloween. On the other hand though the film was criticized much for not having anything "striking, interesting, or exceptionally memorable" moments besides the ending.
Michael Myers has been in a coma since the events of Halloween II (he seemed to be dead at the end of Halloween II, but his death is retconned to be a coma), when his massacre was stopped by Dr. Sam Loomis.

 Michael Pataki
In the early phases of his career, Pataki was reminiscent of a young Rod Steiger; in point of fact, he played the 25-year-old version of the Steiger character in the made-for-TV The Movie Maker (1965).
The Slavic nature of the last-named role was typical of the sort of characters Pataki played in the 1980s, which included Nikoli Koloff in Rocky IV (1985) and Rocky V (1990).
On the production side, Pataki was director of the soft-core sex farce Cinderella and the low-budget scarefest Mansion of the Doomed (both 1977), and served as producer of the 1981 TV adaptation of Broadway's Pippin.

There was no immediate comment from the Giuliani campaign.

WASHINGTON -- Promising to deliver the Empire State to President Bush in 2004, Gov. George Pataki and Mayor Michael Bloomberg welcomed the Republican National Committee's unanimous vote Friday to hold its convention in New York City.
According to The Associated Press, Pataki handed Bush a single dollar bill in the White House Oval Office to consummate the deal, ending years of discussions complicated by a federal government bookkeeping decision that had valued the historic island at $500 million.
The governor said the island would be used as a teacher training center, as well as for recreational and cultural purposes.

Then there's the picture of Laurie that Jamie has in her shoebox: there is no way that picture could exist because it is a still from the scene in the original when Laurie is waiting on the street corner for Annie to pick her up.
Michael, played by George Wilbur, is a much, much more convincing menace in this incarnation (Wilbur would go on to play Mikey again in part 6--the only repeat performance by an actor in that role).
The Return of Michael Myers is, all in all, a good film...if you can overlook the continuity problems.

dOc DVD Review: Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988)
Of course, Michael escapes, and determinedly makes his way back to Haddonfield, Illinois, to meet and kill his little niece.
The unstoppable nature of Michael Myers gets a heavy workout here as he is shot repeatedly, thrown off a speeding truck, run over and otherwise roughed up without being much worse for wear.
There are several interesting subplots, the best of which is the band of yokels who form a vigilante posse to bring down Michael Myers; of course, they end up shooting one of their own instead.

dOc DVD Review: Halloween 4—The Return of Michael Myers (1988)
I guess it's a testament to the success of John Carpenter and Debra Hill, the forces behind the first film, that their evil creation is able to live on in our demented minds.
The Alan McElroy screenplay, despite some of the limitations of the general goofiness of the whole unstoppable Michael Myers concept, is actually pretty decent.
Halloween 4: The Return Of Michael Myers is a far better sequel than Halloween 2, and there are a couple of neat twists that keep this from becoming another mundane slasher film.
