  Michio Morishima
As a result, Morishima has spent much of his career exploring the von Neumann model and translating existing economic theory (notably, that of Ricardo, Marx, Walras and Hicks) into those terms.
Morishima has been influential also in various other aspects of Neo-Walrasian theory - notably, in linear production theory, stability theory, capital theory (to which he contributed a turnpike theorem) and the theory of demand in all of which he has made landmark contributions.
Morishima was also a protagonist in the revival of interest in Classical Ricardian System.

Morishima's writings on Marx seemed to have been welcomed at the time that they were first published by many Marxians.
Perhaps one explanation for that was that in the context of the period _any_ sympathetic critique of Marx whether it was written by Morishima or someone like William J. Baumol was welcomed...

Lord Dahrendorf spoke affectionately of Michio and remembered the time when Michio came to him and told him that he had secured a large donation for a new research centre from two large Japanese companies.
He spoke too of Michio's vision for the Centre and how important it was to him that the Centre was not just an Economic research centre but an international one encompassing related disciplines.

Morishima then translates Ricardo's economics into mathematical language to find a general equilibrium system concealed within.
The analysis contradicts the conventional view that marginalism emerged in opposition to classical economics, showing instead that Ricardian analysis is firmly based on marginalist principles, using prices, wages, and profits rather than labor values.
The book ends with a discussion of the historical character of economic theory and an attempt to specify the epoch of Ricardian economics.

I intend to prove my thesis by first consulting the Fundamental Theory of Marxism, which asserts among other things that capitalism not only promotes inequality but requires it.
I am no economist, but the concepts of Marxism are accessible to anyone (However they have been mathematically proven by Michio Morishima in his book, Marx's Economics: A Dual Theory of Value and Growth).
Example scenarios will be used to illustrate some of these points, and Morishima's work will be consulted as necessary.

 About Prof. Michio Morishima
If some of you know his work better, correct me. His contribution in economics is that he combined Ricardo's and Marx's labor theory of value and established a middle ground in the economics disciplines in Japan where neoclassical and Marxist economists were severely fighting in the 1950s and 1960s.
Morishima has also made a great contribution to explaining Japanese capitalism.
Many endeavors to explain Japanese capitalism popped up in the 1980s.

The mathematical Marxism that began to develop in the early 1970s at first seemed to vindicate Marx's analysis.
Morishima proved the 'fundamental theorem of Marxian analysis': for quite general models, profits are positive if and only if the rate of exploitation is also positive.2 That is to say, profit is possible if and only if workers contribute more labor during the production period than is required 1 Karl Marx, Capital, vol.

Free Essay Critique of Marxian Economics
But it has long been known that equilibrium prices in a market economy are not proportional to the amount of labor embodied in goods; it was therefore necessary to ask whether the Marxist theory of accumulation could be made more precise even though the labor theory of value was wrong.
This has been done during the last twenty years, by applying techniques of input-output analysis and general equilibrium theory, by Michio Morishima and others.
Following this line, Morishima explored the implications of input-output analysis for mathematical understandings of the transformation problem, albeit at ‘some expense of its “historical” [labour theory] aspects’ (Morishima and Catephores, 1975, p.309).
