 Wiener Dog History
Wyatt was a handsome Australian Shepherd, puck was a precocious orange tabby, and Osh Kosh was, well Osh Kosh (the only dog in the universe that actually looks like a cow—she actually has markings on her side that resemble Mickey Mouse).
Dachshund' by those in the dog world, and a noted breeder and judge, had done endless research on this breed which was so close to his heart.
This theory, along with others that place the dog in countries from Peru to the Orient, seems rather intangible, though 'a book published in 1896 written by a Major Emil Ilgner claims that the Dachshund's history could be traced back through 35 centuries' (Lois Meistrell, The New Dachshund, Howell Book House: New York, 1989).
