Possible transport mechanisms are volatilisation, molecular diffusion, turbulent dispersion and adjective transport caused by sedimentation of suspended solids from the water column to the sediment.
The transport in the surface micro layer and in the sediment is assumed to be a 1.
In the latter case the substance activity in the surface micro layer will be equal to the activity in the bulk water column and the volatilisation will tend to be proportional to this activity and thus proportional to the substance concentration in the bulk water column.

 Toxic Oxygen Bubbles
If the livewell transport water becomes clouded, appearing milky with miniscule bubbles that adhere on gills and scales or to the inside walls of your livewell, consider these conditions potentially toxic and generally unhealthy for the exposed fish.
Transporting live fish in livewell environments containing clouds of micro-fine gas bubbles with excessive gas supersaturation can be dangerous when transporting live fish, increasing chances of delayed release mortality.
Fish transported in milky looking livewell water containing clouds of suspended tiny micro-fine bubbles can increase stress, cause physical injury, increase susceptibility to infection and disease and may ultimately increase post release delayed mortality.

Microspheres are handled and transported commercially in the form of a free flowing powder.

 Abstract (Invited)
In this study we utilize the physical similarity, in relation to TUS between both living cellular tissues, which are in close contact with liquid, to value possible mechanisms and estimate the angiogenic potential of TUS.
In the theoretical study, bubble dynamics near a cellular tissue is analyzed and modes of pulsation are categorized.
Steady bubble pulsations and micro streaming are suggested to account for the shear-like response of the cellular tissue, the space formation and the augmented convection.

 Fundamental & Exploratory Research Project
In subsurface reactive transport, large differences in chemical composition can be sustained in boundary regions such as those at sediment-water interfaces, interior regions of soil aggregates and surfaces of fractured rocks.
Studies of reactive transport in such boundary zones require information on chemical speciation and concentration with appropriate spatial and temporal resolution.
Predicting transport of trace elements between various environmental compartments is often unsuccessful, partly due to lack of sufficient spatial and temporal resolution.

Sterling Fibers: Acrylic - A Fabric for All Seasons!   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-23)
Acrylic fiber, with its inherent polarity (the ability to attract and convey moisture), is the leading synth etic fiber for natural moisture transport (wicking), and is superior to fibers with topical finishes which wash away.
The type of fibers and construction of the fabric directly affect the climate in your dermisphere, and determine how comfortable, or uncomfortable, you are regardless of the air temperature or activity in which you are engaged.
Because of acrylic's ability to transport moisture and increase the "comfort-ability" of a garment, fabric designers can create constructions for all four seasons, enabling both the spectator and active participant to benefit.
